Encanto (2021)
"Encanto" is a charming Disney musical comedy.
Many of the songs are amusingly good.

Unusually for a Disney film, it does not begin with the sudden death of the main character's parents.
One of the more interesting characters in the movie is the house.
Indeed, the house has more personality than most people.

What's the deal with "Encanto"? I mean, here you have a family, the Madrigals, living in a magical house in the mountains of Colombia, and they're all gifted with special powers. All except for one, Mirabel. Now, isn't that just classic?
I mean, you've got a sister who can make flowers grow just by singing, another sister who can lift a mountain, and an aunt who can predict the future. And then there's Mirabel, who's like, "Hey, anyone need a hand with... oh wait, I'm just the normal one." Talk about feeling like you got the short end of the family stick.
And what's with the enchanted house? Doors that open to different realms, a floor that cleans itself – it's like living in a magical IKEA showroom! Can you imagine trying to find the bathroom in the middle of the night? "Sorry, I ended up in the magical vineyard again, my mistake."
Also, that song, "We don't talk about Bruno"? It's been stuck in my head for weeks. It's like an earworm that won't go away. I mean, who knew a song about not talking about someone could make us talk about them so much? Oh, the irony!
Moana (2016):
If you loved "Encanto", you will likely enjoy "Moana". This film is an engaging journey, filled with spectacular animation, memorable songs, and a powerful theme of self-discovery.
